The access points along the Middle River are a great way for Iowans to connect with water, wildlife and everything outdoors.
This project isn't quite done yet, but we're hard at work preparing this water trail for public use. These improvements will ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all users while providing the necessary protection for this important environment. This site will serve as the main downstream access before it connects with the Des Moines River and will complete a three-mile trip for paddlers and anglers from the proposed Banner Lakes access.
